PATTERN LANGUAGE FOR GAME DESIGN
How to get help with the Pattern Library website
How to use the Pattern Library website, Part 10
The Pattern Library website is intended to be a robust resource for the readers of the book Pattern Language for Game Design and for game developers and game development students in general. Everyone is welcome to use the site to record and share their patterns.
The site is developed solely by the author, Christopher Barney. That’s me! I am a professor at Northeastern University where I have been teaching game design for the past 5 years. Before that, I worked in the game industry, most notably as a developer on Poptropica.
I have been alpha and beta testing the Pattern Library site for the 3 months before the launch of the book. I believe that it is functional and stable… however, an influx of new users and higher loads on the servers may cause problems.
Given that I am the only developer on the site, and also am teaching and writing, I have a limited ability to provide support. Please read the help articles at the bottom of this page and see if they answer your questions before you reach out. But please do reach out! If you are running into a problem then it is likely that others are as well and I want to make using the site an easy, useful, and enjoyable ecxperience.
